My girlfriend and I just got married, and we enjoyed having a lot of friends from the BookFinder.com family around to help us mark the occasion.
Charlie was my best man, and gave the first toast. He also entertained the crowd by juggling flaming torches after dinner; it was quite a sight to see.
I asked my friend Christine (who worked with us for two years) if she'd bless us before we exchanged vows; she did, and also read a poem by Robert Hass as part of the ceremony.
Other folks from the BookFinder.com universe in attendance: Barbara (who conveys our message to the world), Tushar (who supported us from the beginning), Eric and Anita (powering our infrastructure since 1996), and Chaitee (who used to work with us, and also introduced me to my future life partner). Wendy couldn't be with us at the wedding because of a preexisting commitment; she was missed.
I'm blessed to have so many wonderful friends and co-workers in my life.
Getting married was strangely easy. "Happily ever after" will be the hard part, but my partner and I are looking forward to the challenge.
