I always wondered what happened to all the card catalogs once libraries went digital... I'm glad they are still being put to good use.
Here is a neat blog with photo's of card catalogs in peoples homes...

I found a great card catalog at a yard sale. I love it. I use it in the living room for my television stand. My brother saw it and said "why a card catalog? I said why not?"

From microfiche to microfilm to card catalogs to virtual data...perhaps it will end there. Those are great pieces of furniture, soon relegated to historical curiosity.
