Abebooks' international marketing

In a MarketingSherpa "interview," Abebooks employees discuss how they market their European sites (abebooks.co.uk, abebooks.fr, and abebooks.de).

Besides these three European marketplaces that came out of the acquisition of JustBooks, Abebooks also has the recently purchased iberlibro.com (a Spanish/Portuguese marketplace), as well as abebooks.com.au and abebooks.co.nz, two placeholder sites that redirect back to a page on the main abebooks.com site.

Do you use any of these Abebooks sites, either as a buyer or a seller? Are they helpful?

I love non-US book sites, because they're great for finding books which weren't published in the US. I've got an unfortunate knack for craving titles which were only in print in, for example, South Africa, and they're obviously tough to find. I also find the non-US sites give me some options when I want to ship books to friends in Germany or the Philippines -- I can often save money on shipping.
