PDA book database design
I enjoyed running across a discussion on how one might go about designing a good personal book cataloging application within the Palm OS User Interface Guidelines.
Though the document is both platform-specific and dated (I’m guessing it’s from 1999), the issues it deals with are incredibly relevant, particularly with the growth of the mobile web. Just substitute “normal website” for “desktop application,” and “mobile website” for “Palm application,” e.g. the normal and mobile versions of the LibraryThing personal book cataloging system.
